Citizen Accountability Committee:
Ten applications were received and are being reviewed by the Board it is anticipated the Committee will be appointed at the Boards September meeting.
Project Manager:
Applications from four firms were received and are being evaluated
System Status:
WCCCA technicians continue to perform preventative maintenance on the existing system to keep it operating at top shape. There are no other issues currently affecting the system operations.
Project Procurement:
The C800 Board of Directors along with staff are discussing the best procurement method to be utilized to purchase the radio system equipment. It is anticipated a decision will be made by September on process. Actual procurement will take approximately 3 months. Biweekly meetings with WCCCA and C800 staff are continuing to define the system design and components reviewing updated conceptual pricing to insure we are maintaining budget.
Site Acquisition:
C800 has executed leases on the Sawtell Site (Molalla) / Sandy Site / Canby Site / Lake Oswego – West Linn site. Sawtell is under construction (see below) and the others are in the preliminary design and land use application work. We have submitted the initial application for the two BLM sites – Crutcher’s Bench (Welches) and Highland Butte (Clarkes) which BLM are processing. We have also submitted applications for the USFS sites Tom Dick & Harry / Angel Falls / Oak Grove Butte / Whale Head and are awaiting information.
Site Construction:
Sawtell site construction continues and is approximately 98% complete. the antenna work should begin in a couple of weeks upon receipt of materials.
